Let's take a step for Babli

Crime in any area, any city, any state, any country.. has multiple causes. If it's related to women, it gives us an alert signal that there is something wrong which has to be rectified immediately. There is one major cause which happens moreover in the villages, which many of us are unaware. That is .. Defecating In Open!

We always think of how to make our washrooms and home germ free. We always think of how to turn the dirty smell into a lovely fragrance. But have you ever thought there are so many people who don't even have a proper toilet to defecate? That count goes to disturbing 597 million people in India. They have to go to an open space. But is it really a good choice for females? After all, they are not given a choice. However, if given a choice, which girl would wish to opt the open space? Its the question of their security, hygiene, privacy and dignity.

Hygiene problem affects their health. It could be urine infection or any other major health problem which could affect them for a lifetime. But why do such scenarios even arise? It's because of lack of sanitation facilities.Although present in cities, it is moreover found in villages of India.

The DTA

Keeping this issue in mind, Domex has come up with an initiative recently which will help make villages 'open-defecation' free. Domex as we all know gives us an easy way to sanitize our toilets and eradicate the germs close to 100%. Moving away from it's primary goal, Domex now runs a programme called Domex Toilet Academy (DTA). Through this programme, the HUL's brand aims to make toilets easily accessible and affordable for the local people. This programme was started on 19th November 2013.

Let's take a step for Babli
A village girl Babli, is asked to go to an open space for defecating. She always wished for a toilet with walls on three side and a door with a knob, which she never got. As time passed, her wish got buried in a deep dark corner. She got accustomed to the open space and pretended to loose her dignity. Babli and many more girls like her, who deserve all the happiness, freedom and dignity, but deprived of all of them, needs our help with creating the sanitation facilities. You can bring about the change in the lives of millions of kids, thereby showing your support for the Domex Initiative. All you need to do is “click” on the “Contribute Tab” on www.domex.in and Domex will contribute Rs.5 on your behalf to eradicate open defecation, thereby helping kids like Babli live a dignified life.
I would really urge you to blog about #ToiletForBabli. Let us join this noble initiative by Domex to help make villages ‘open-defecation’ free.
